Casey McCarty

During seven years as Idea Foundry COO, Casey established the operational infrastructure behind multiple scalable revenue streams, making the Foundry attractive to outside investment. Casey took over as CEO in 2018 to lead the organization's focus on financial sustainability and scalability after several years of aggressive growth. 

 

In her tenure as CEO, Casey defined organizational mission, benchmarked core product mix and pricing strategy, and implemented a number of initiatives professionalizing financial, legal, and human resources systems to advance from startup culture to positioning the Foundry as a self-sufficient brand.  

 

Casey is a small business policy advocate and regular conference speaker, as well as an officer of the board of directors for Franklinton Urban Development Lab, the neighborhood community development corporation, and sits on the board of directors of the Downtown Residents Association of Columbus, supporting residents and small businesses. 

 

McCarty earned a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Public Policy; with additional post-grad training in emergency management and contingency planning. 

Jack Storey

Jack joined the Idea Foundry at the beginning of 2019 to help execute operational initiatives across core revenue streams, and identify strategic partnerships and community outreach opportunities for expansion.

 

With over a decade in community and economic development, Jack has held leadership positions such as  Executive Director of the Franklinton Urban Empowerment Lab (FUEL), a community development corporation in Columbus, Ohio; Director of the Columbus College of Art & Design’s MindMarket initiative, and lead business development at AWH, a Dublin-based IT firm, and Northeast Shores Development Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Storey established Saving Cities in 2010, a think tank dedicated to addressing the needs of disinvested communities throughout the Midwest region of the United States, as well as Citizen Metrics, a company that assists small community-based nonprofits in gathering longitudinal, attitudinal data from residents to help drive smarter strategic planning.  

He is the director of the feature length film “Red, White & Blueprints: A Rust Belt Documentary” and has received some notable awards for both the film and his efforts as an activist. 

Storey earned his BA in film & television production, and Masters in Entertainment Business management.
